Ladies showing hot form on the golf course
THE golf is getting hotter with great scores from both the ladies and the men at the Mansfield Golf Club.
Tuesday’s Par round was won by Irene Pfluger (40) with a great +2, and lineballs went to Glenis Skinner (Square) and Anne Watkins (-1).
Wednesday’s Summer Cup round was won by Sue Parsons (15) with 34pts in division one from Gayle Wells (11) 33pts, as division two was won by Marion Mitchell (28) with a great 40pts from Marion Sargeant (29) on an equally fine 37pts.
Lineballs went to Sam Bailey and Glenis Skinner with 34pts, Robyn Baker 33pts, Lyn Poulson and Dawn Breadon 31pts, Andrea Marsden 30pts, and Irene Pfluger and Marg Franke-Williams both on 29pts.
Nearest the pin seventh was Robyn Baker and the 16th was Lyn Poulson.
Thursday’s George Walker was won by Sue Parsons (15) with a fine 21pts from Sam Bailey with 18pts.
Saturday’s Stableford round was won by Sam Bailey (22) with 37pts from Andrea Marsden with 34pts.
Lineballs went to Millie Cumming 32, and Jacqui Smithwick 30pts, while nearest the pin on the third was Millie, seventh was Jacqui and the 16th went missing, but I’m sure someone was on.
Today is a Par round, Saturday is a Stroke round and Sunday is the annual hospital fundraiser, commencing 10am shotgun start with fantastic prizes to be won, including two cars for holes in one on the ninth and the 16th.
All proceeds to the Mansfield Hospital so come along and have a great day, there is still plenty of time to enter.

Division Two winner - Bob Speed 43 points, runner up Jeremy Drew 41 points;

Division One winner Rob Healy 44 points, runner up Dion Sheahan 41 points;
