Mans­field Sec­ondary Col­lege an­nual swim­ming sports day

MANS­FIELD Sec­ondary Col­lege held their an­nual swim sports last week.

Stu­dents were dressed in house col­ors - blue for Hil­lary, yel­low for Landy, green for Bader and red for Churchill - but were also aware of be­ing suns­mart with slip, slop and slap prac­tised.

The SRC cooked up a storm with a sausage siz­zle down at the pool.

The day be­gan with blue skies, but soon the weather changed as a thun­der storm came through.

When light­ning struck two of the oval light tow­ers, stu­dents in the pool felt tin­gling while a teacher at the same time also felt the shocks.

Need­less t o say t he pool was cleared and an end to pro­ceed­ings called.

Win­ning house on the day was Bader (360), fol­lowed by Landy (332), Churchill (307) and Hil­lary (263).
