Con­tri­bu­tions handed out


THE lat­est round of dis­perse­ments of Mans­field and District Com­mu­nity Bank com­mu­nity con­tri­bu­tions fund­ing was held last Fri­day.

Wel­com­ing the at­ten­dees, bank chair­man, Tim Ross, noted the large num­ber of groups rais­ing money for a num­ber of causes.

“The com­mu­nity bank is very pleased to sup­port a large num­ber of these projects,” he said.

“There is a huge de­mand for funds with ap­pli­ca­tions in this round to­talling $135,000.

“We have been able to grant some $17,325 in this round, with the ac­cu­mu­lated amount to the com­mu­nity to­talling $324,325.”

Mr Ross added that the abil­ity to give money back to the com­mu­nity is based on the amount of cus­tom through the branch.

Bank man­ager Matt Cur­rie handed out cer­tifi­cates to the suc­cess­ful groups.

The groups and projects were:

Arts Coun­cil of Mans­field - Mans­field 3 Faces por­trait prize bi­en­nial;

Bin­da­ree Aux­il­iary - Shade sails;

Deakin Allen and Marj Coombs Chil­dren’s Wel­fare Trust - Costs as­so­ci­ated with med­i­cal treat­ment for chil­dren liv­ing in Mans­field district;

Jamieson Com­mu­nity Group and As­soc. Bod­ies Inc. - Jamieson Au­tumn Fes­ti­val;

Mans­field and District Eques­trian Club (MADEC) - MADEC Of­fi­cial HRCAV Horse Tri­als 2014;

Mans­field Agri­cul­tural and Pas­toral So­ci­ety - Park Seats for the Arena View­ing Area;

Mans­field Swim­ming Club - Com­mu­nity Bar­be­cue at Mans­field Swim­ming Pool;

Mans­field Mu­si­cal and Dra­matic So­ci­ety (MMuDS) - Mans­field Young Play­ers Theatre Work­shops.
