Rural land values increase

Mansfield Courier - - PROPERTY -

VICTORIAN farmland values have increased by an average of 4.2 per cent each year for the past 23 years, a new report released by Rural Finance shows.

The Victorian Farmland Values Index, a study of the value of Victorian agricultural land, tracks the results of about 45,000 land sales across the state since 1990.

The index, which took two years to produce, shows over the long term rural land values have increased ahead of inflation, reflecting the strength and resilience of agricultural industries.
