COUNCIL is in the process of digitising hard copy documents formating in line with its Digital Implementation Plan.
Once digitised then hard copy documents are disposed of.
The digitised record will be regarded as the official record of the Mansfield Shire Council.
This plan includes strategies such as the scanning of older records before storing offsite, and timing of when records can be disposed of.
Scanning of older records improves council’s access of these records and reduces costs of retrieving documents while adhering to legislative requirements.
