What’s on at the Mansfield cinema

Mansfield Courier - - WHAT’S ON -

WE are back with two new movies this week just in time for the long weekend.

‘12 Years A Slave’ is a great movie of how a free black man is sold into slavery and tries to remain alive so he can return to his family.

Wolf Creek came into our lives in 2005, now Mick Taylor is back in Wolf Creek 2 and he is still mad.

We continue with Mandela and Lone Survivor - both great movies not to be missed.

12 YEARS A SLAVE (MA) (2hrs 15mins) - based on an incredible true story of one man’s fight for survival and freedom.

In the pre-Civil War United States, a free black man from upstate New York is abducted and sold into slavery.

Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner), as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity.

In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon’s chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist will forever alter his life.

Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael K.Williams and Michael Fassbender.

WOLF CREEK 2 (MA) (1hr 45mins) - the outback once more becomes a place of horror as another unwitting tourist becomes the prey for crazed, serialkilling pig-shooter Mick Taylor.

Starring John Jarratt, Ryan Corr and Shannon Ashlyn.

MANDELA LONG WALK TO FREEDOM (M) (2hrs 15mns) and LONE SURVIVOR (MA) (2hrs) continue.

See you at the movies.
