U3A vis­it­ing the Re­nais­sance era

U3A MANS­FIELD held its an­nual gen­eral meet­ing re­cently at the Ma­sonic Lodge Hall, where Ruth Ler­mond and Tr­ish Mor­ris were re-elected pres­i­dent and sec­re­tary. Elaine Cooper was elected trea­surer.

Fol­low­ing the meet­ing ‘Gar­dens of Italy with Monty Don’ was screened.

Meet­ings are held on the first and third Mon­days of each month at the Ma­sonic Lodge Hall at 10am, start­ing with a cuppa, and con­clude around mid­day and new mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.

The group this year is study­ing the Ital­ian Re­nais­sance and are us­ing U3A On­line as their re­source.

A num­ber of out­ings re­lated to the Ital­ian Re­nais­sance are also planned, in­clud­ing a visit to the Na­tional Art Gallery, sev­eral movies, Ital­ian food and a visit to Pizzini’s win­ery.

The next meet­ing will be held on Mon­day, March 17.
