Challenge your way around lake
UP for a real challenge?
The inaugural Lake Eildon Challenge is to be held on Saturday, April 5, starting in Mansfield.
This new multi-sport event comprises a 98km cycle from Mansfield to Eildon, then a 25km paddle from Eildon to Bonnie Doon and finishes with a 21.1km run from Bonnie Doon back to Mansfield.
You can do the whole event as an individual or put a team together and do one leg each.
The cycle leg can also be done as a single event.
The event will start with a 98km cycle from Mansfield to Eildon.
At Eildon you will rack your bike and head to your kayak.
The kayak transition area is next to the Eildon Alliance boat ramp on a gravel area – we recommend you bring stands for your kayak or at least blankets to put under your boat.
The second leg is a 25km paddle from Eildon to Bonnie Doon.
You will zig-zag your way through the river arms, guided by boats and landmarks.
To finish you run a 21.1km half marathon mostly along the rail trail from Bonnie Doon to Mansfield.
