Marty’s shed to open its doors to visitors

Mansfield Courier - - WHAT’S ON -

MARTY Briscoe will take visitors into his ‘shed museum’ and on a walk back in time on Saturday, April 12 when he opens his backyard for the Friends of St Joseph’s Church.

Mr Briscoe is well known around the district for having the biggest and most amazing collection of old wares and machinery.

He will open his shed to the public – especially those men who are interested – as a fundraiser for the church.

St Joseph’s Catholic Church is situated at Tolmie, near the sports ground and is currently being restored to its former glory.

During the Saturday opening a sausage sizzle will be held along with a raffle, produce stall and afternoon tea.

The original parish ‘authentic convent spinning wheel’ will again spin between 1pm and 2pm.

Entry is by gold coin donation and Briscoe’s ‘One Man’s Shed’ is situated at 9 Ailsa Street, Mansfield – at the eastern end of town.
