Under 10s braved miserable conditions
CONDITIONS were miserable at the Lord’s ground on Saturday morning for the Under 10s football, though more so for the brave spectators and coaching staff.
The Demons were able to get the first score on the board, with some great football from Seb Birthisel, Seth Dean and Chad Turner.
With goals hard to come by for the Hawks, Max Mahoney, Harry Purcell and captain Asha Foubister played great defensive football all day.
In the second half the rain seemed to get heavier and both teams worked hard to move the ball forward.
Brayden Van Winden, Dan Young, and Cody Azzopardi’s skills were fantastic in the wet, which made it hard for the Hawks, but Paddy Dunstan and Connor Healy displayed great effort right to the final siren in a hard fought match.
The season is nearing the end with only one game until the grand final.
