Ten pin lad­der lead­ers con­tinue to strike hard

Wed­nes­day Night UP Your Al­ley had a good win over Gut­ter-li­cious, win­ning all seven premier­ship points (436, 420, 405 + hcp 311–443, 443, 391 + hcp 283).

Stu­art Toy, Gut­ter-li­cious, bowled a dou­ble strike and the top score for his team with 137.

Kim Dun­stan and Nathan Brown, Up Your Al­ley, both bowled dou­ble strikes, with Nathan bowl­ing the top score for Up Your Al­ley with 139.

On the mid­dle lanes Spare Me de­feated All Stars, also tak­ing all seven points (389, 463, 424 + hcp 358–439, 530, 490 + hcp 253).

Lane Lay­field, All Stars, bowled a tur­key in his sec­ond game re­sult­ing in the top score for his team with 170 pins down.

Len Smith, Spare Me, bowled an awe­some sec­ond game with two dou­ble strikes, a to­tal of six strikes and a top score of 182.

It was a close game on the end lanes, with In­cred­i­bowls just pip­ping One Pin four points to three (419, 530, 490 + hcp 246–521, 502, 471 + hcp 262).

David Ack­land, One Pin, had a good start to the night bowl­ing 164 in his first game fol­lowed by the top score of 165 in his sec­ond, while team mates Si­mon Cu­sack and Sally Lay both bowled dou­ble strikes.

One Pin’s Paul Gil­lard, although hav­ing a bad night on the lanes still shines through as a very promis­ing bowler.

Korey Poole and Paul Thompson, In­cred­i­bowls, both bowled dou­ble strikes and team mate Johnny Child bowled two dou­ble strikes, with Thompson bowl­ing the best game for In­cred­i­bowls with a score of 159.

In­cred­i­bowls bowled the best game of the night with a score of 530 and One Pin bowled the best se­ries with 1494.

Len Smith, Spare Me, bowled the best in­di­vid­ual game of the night with a score of 182 and Si­mon Cu­sack, One Pin, bowled the best se­ries with 446.

All Stars are still top of the lad­der (42 pts) but the gap is clos­ing with Spare Me and Up Your Al­ley (27 pts), fol­lowed by Gut­ter-li­cious (26 pts), One Pin (25 pts) and In­cred­i­bowls (21 pts).
