Terip downs Mansfield in ladies tennis
ONLY one match was played last week in the Euroa Ladies Tennis, with the weather curtailing the second match.
It was the Mansfield girls against Terip, and it was all doom and gloom for the away team, as Terip dominated from the start to run away easy winners.
The gap between the top two teams, Euroa Purple and Terip, and the rest of the competition was highlighted by the result, so while Benalla and Mansfield will fight it out for third and fourth place, on current form they will only be making up the numbers once finals start.
Results: Terip 5-45 defeated Mansfield 1-24, Euroa Purple v Euroa Pink (washout), Benalla (bye).
The ladder is Euroa Purple 97, Terip 89, Mansfield 50, Benalla 48, Euroa Pink 16 Mansfield has the bye this week. And as the Euroa Ladies Winer Competition draws to a close soon, that means preparations for the new spring/summer season of tennis in Mansfield are under way.
