Students are ready to shine at Schools Spectacular
MANSFIELD Secondary College (MSC) students are eagerly anticipating their appearance in the 2016 State Schools Spectacular this Saturday.
Held at Hisense Arena, 20 MSC students will be part of a 3000 strong cast from Victorian Government schools across the whole state.
Working in a collaborative, non-competitive environment, The Spectacular showcases a huge array of young talent in the fields of song, dance, music, and drama, held together by a stunning orchestra.
Students have been rehearsing together both at school, and in Melbourne for a number of weeks, highlighting the huge commitment they have made to be part of the show.
This year’s theme is “The Elements”, and two shows (1pm and 6.30pm) are being performed this Saturday, September 10.
Regional TV station Prime Seven will be televising the event, but check local guides for telecast times.
Students will be travelling down to Melbourne for two days of rehearsals prior to the shows, lead by MSC music teacher Shayne Byrnes, and the parents of those involved.
Good luck to all those performing - it will be a fantastic experience. Absent: Sally Beautyman and Charlotte Howie.
