What’s on at the Mansfield Armchair Cinema

Mansfield Courier - - TRADES & SERVICES -

BRIDGET JONES’S BABY is our new movie this week.

Follow her life as she enters her 40’s, becomes pregnant, and is not sure who the father is.

How does she cope, and the all-important question – who does she choose to spend her life with?

NERVE tells the story of a young lady who is taken in by an online game.

Her life is slowly consumed by the game and those who control it.

SAUSAGE PARTY is a typical Seth Rogan movie.

He pushes it to the limit in this movie about your everyday groceries and what they believe happens to them in your house.

This is soo wrong, but soo funny, you will be in stitches.

SECRET LIFE OF PETS – Coming into school holidays we start with this great animated movie.

Have you ever wondered what happens to your pets when you are out?

What do they get up to, or do they just wait by the door for you to return?

This movie puts a light spin on it.

SUICIDE SQUAD is brilliant.

In exchange for a shorter prison life, characters are offered work outside the prison that has them lucky to be alive at the end of the job.

This is being loved by all who see it.

LOVE & FRIENDSHIP is based on a Jane Austen novel.

Jane Austen wrote this novel when she was a young girl, aged 18 or 19, between 1793 and 1795.

Love & Friendship is a reminder that Austen was not only brilliant at screen-friendly plots but also a very wickedly salacious writer.

HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE has its last screening this week, so do not miss out.

Raised on hip-hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky has a fresh start.

He finds himself happy with his new foster family.

When tragedy strikes Ricky is threatened, so he goes on the run with Hec and dog Tupac in the bush.

Now branded as outlaws, they must choose to go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family.

An outstanding feel good family film.

BRIDGET JONES’S BABY (CTC) - The continuing adventures of British publishing executive Bridget Jones as she enters her 40s, and now she is pregnant, but who is the father?

You will love every minute of this movie.

NERVE (M) - A high school senior finds herself immersed in an online game of truth or dare, where her every move starts to become manipulated by an anonymous community of “watchers.”

SAUSAGE PARTY (MA) - The products at a Grocery Store are made to believe a code that helps them live happy lives until it’s time for them to leave and head for the great beyond.

However, after a botched trip to the great beyond leaves one sausage and his companion Bun stranded, his journey takes him from one end of the supermarket to the other.

Frank’s quest to discover the truth about his existence as a sausage turns incredibly dark.

SECRET LIFE OF PETS (G) - Max’s life as a favourite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke.

Putting their quarrels behind they work together to outwit a bunny named Snowball who is building an army of lost pets determined to take revenge.

SUICIDE SQUAD (M) - A secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named A.R.G.U.S, creates a task force comprising super villains, the “Suicide Squad”.

They are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences.

One last screening – HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE (PG) - A national manhunt is ordered for a rebellious kid and his foster uncle who go missing in the wild New Zealand bush.

See you all at the Mansfield Armchair Cinema.
