Car club en­joys lunch in per­fect sun­shine

The cel­e­bra­tion was for Naomi’s son Peter’s achieve­ment in the Na­tional Po­lice Clay Tar­get Team Cham­pi­onships held in Queens­land re­cently.

Peter won with the best score and re­ceived a mag­nif­i­cent tro­phy.


ON Satur­day, Septem­ber 17, lo­cal res­i­dent Judy Ri­d­ley cel­e­brated her 80th birth­day with her fam­ily and friend Naomi Bea­man.

The cel­e­bra­tory party was a lun­cheon at Mingo’s at The Junc­tion, Jamieson restau­rant.

It was a won­der­ful oc­ca­sion with Judy’s fam­ily, those liv­ing in Jamieson and also trav­el­ling from Mel­bourne, to cel­e­brate the mile­stone oc­ca­sion.


ON Tues­day, Septem­ber 20 mem­bers of the Jamieson and Dis­trict His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety held their pre-sea­son plan­ning ses­sion.

The sea­son open­ing for the new dis­play in the mu­seum will be on the week­end of Oc­to­ber 22.

THURS­DAY evenings in Jamieson are al­most a weekly reunion, with many lo­cals and vis­i­tors mak­ing happy hour at the Court­house a must.

The Lakeside fish­ing club hold a raf­fle ev­ery week, as a fund raiser for lo­cal groups and com­mu­nity en­deav­ours.
