FIRSTLY, a huge apol­ogy to win­ner of the Medal of Medal­lists for not men­tion­ing him last week.

Tues­day was a sta­ble­ford event with five play­ers out for a walk prior to the Cup.

The win­ner was Sam Sandhu (19) with 33 points, from Roger Eddy (6) with 32 points.

The day­light s aving Wed­nes­day 9 hole com­pe­ti­tion con­tin­ued, with 14 golfers at­tend­ing for a 2-ball Com­bined Sta­ble­ford event,

Win­ners were Jar­rod Heath (15) and Domingo Diaz (11) with 41 points.

Thurs­day saw the semifi nals of Golf Premier League.

This r esulted i n The Snake Pit de­feat­ing The Fridge Mag­nets 116 points to 105 points, and The X Fac­tor de­feat­ing The Pun­ters 113 points to 112 points on the last hole.

A great field of 62 par­tic­i­pants fronted the starter for the reg­u­lar Sta­ble­ford event, cre­at­ing two prize di­vi­sions.

The win­ner of di­vi­sion one was Damian Ryan (15) with a great score of 43 points, with Tony Craw­ford (8) run­ner up with 41 points.

Di­vi­sion t wo win­ner was ev­er­green Per­rin Goodi ng ( 26) with 44 points from John Hayes (35) on 41 points.

Ball run down went to 35 points on a count­back.

Near­est the Pin (NTP) on the sev­enth was Mitchell Brown, ninth was Alan Par­rott, 12th was Gary John­son and the 16th was Bill Tay­lor, and Mark Bet­tany took out the pro pin on the third.

John Gil­son picked up the Hid­den Holes, while NTP sec­ond shot on the 18th was col­lected by Dan Robert­son.

The two nov­elty events were twos on par 3s with five win­ners, and birdies on holes one to six, which re­sulted in 10 prizes be­ing col­lected.

The two rab­bits were Dave Wil­son and Chris Durkin, and the Gold Course was won by Peter Healy (29) with 39 points.

Satur­day saw a Sta­ble­ford event be­ing con­tested, with two “vet­er­ans” of the club show­ing ev­ery­one how to play.

The win­ner was Heinz Go­gol (25) with 41 points, with run­ner-up Neil Walker (25) with 40 points.

Ball run­down went to 35 points.

NTPs were on the sev­enth Mark Cox­all, ninth Dave Smith­wick, 12th Mark Pear­son and 16th Rod Sar­gent.

NTP sec­ond shot on the 18th went to Bob Speed and the pro pin was taken out by Rod Sar­gent.

Hid­den holes went to Steve Daykin and t here were seven 3s on the par fours.

Sun­day saw t he fifth round of the Golf Premier League 9 hole event on the front nine, with some great scores be­ing recorded.

Win­ners for the day were Brad Grant ( 8) with 22 points from Paul Richardson (19) with 21 points and Alan Eus­tace (18) with 20 points, and ball run­down went to 16 on a count­back. Tip for this week: Un­less your name i s Tiger Woods, re­frain from try­ing the six inches off the green full swing flop shot.
