Local sci-fi author to speak at library
BELINDA Crawford is regularly asked some difficult questions.
How do you write a book? Is it hard? How do you turn an idea into a novel, stay motivated and combat the dreaded inner critic?
Ms Crawford will tackle these questions and more at her talk at Mansfield Library next Thursday, November 17 at 4pm.
Ms Crawford has recently released ‘Riven’ the second book in The Hero Rebellion series for teens.
She is currently writing the final instalment in the successful series, with plans to write many more adventures in the world of Jørn.
Belinda Crawford is a horse-mad geek who loves rock music, hates pink and is occasionally driven nuts by the need to organise.
She grew up riding fat, stubborn little ponies, and only discovered the delights of reading after her mum bought her a horse magazine.
Now, she writes science fiction, collects books like other people collect shoes and takes great joy in riding fat, stubborn horses.
“We are fortunate to have so many creative people in Mansfield, who are willing to share their talents with the community,” Mansfield Shire mayor Paul Volkering said.
People of all ages are invited to attend the talk and snacks will be provided.
Bookings are preferred so please call the Library on 5775 2176 to reserve your seat.
