Cit­i­zen of the year awards now open

NOM­I­NA­TIONS for the Mans­field Shire Cit­i­zen, Se­nior Cit­i­zen, Young Cit­i­zen of the Year and Com­mu­nity Event of the Year awards are now open.

Each year lo­cals are asked to nom­i­nate some­one they ad­mire; high­light­ing the vol­un­teer work done by so many lo­cal cit­i­zens, to cel­e­brate kind and use­ful deeds and to recog­nise com­mu­nity ser­vice, high achieve­ment or the valu­able lo­cal con­tri­bu­tion by a group or in­di­vid­ual.

If you know of some­one that has done a lot for the com­mu­nity, of­ten with lit­tle recog­ni­tion, this is your chance to put their name for­ward for con­sid­er­a­tion and ac­knowl­edge­ment.

Awards for all cat­e­gories will be pre­sented as part of the com­mu­nity Aus­tralia Day cel­e­bra­tions on Thurs­day, Jan­uary 26 next year.

Nom­i­na­tions close on Monday, De­cem­ber 12.

The Aus­tralia Day Awards Nom­i­na­tion Form, which in­cludes el­i­gi­bil­ity cri­te­ria, is avail­able for down­load or can be col­lected from coun­cil’s cus­tomer ser­vice counter, Highett Street, Mans­field.
