RE­MEM­BRANCE Day Fri­day, Novem­ber 11 at 11am, a group of lo­cal Jamieson res­i­dents and visi­tors at­tended a me­mo­rial ser­vice, at Matthews Re­serve.

The ser­vice was con­ducted by re­turned ser­vice­man and lo­cal res­i­dent Tony Den­nis.

Wreaths were laid at the me­mo­rial.

Lo­cal par­lia­men­tar­ian Cindy McLeish pro­vided a beau­ti­ful wreath that was laid by Jamieson Com­mu­nity Group pres­i­dent Chris Badrock on her be­half.

The Jamieson Craft Ladies cre­ated a wreath, of cro­cheted Red Flan­ders Pop­pies, that was also laid at the me­mo­rial.

Two stu­dents from Jamieson pri­mary grades 3 and 4 Jessie and Geor­gia, were ac­com­pa­nied by re­liev­ing teacher Louise Jenk­ins, to at­tend the ser­vice.
