Farewell to VCE class of 2016

Mansfield Courier - - OPINIONS / PEOPLE -

GOODBYE and good luck. “You are now standing on the precipice of your future – where this takes you is in your hands.

“It is traditional at this time to wish you luck, but the reality is that luck has nothing to do with it.

“Grasping your opportunities as they present themselves is important as you negotiate your way through life.

“Using your education, your experience and the values you have learnt from your parents and school will assist you in guiding your decisions in the right direction.”

So wrote the Mansfield Secondary College’s senior school co-ordinator, Bruce McInnis, in his final farewell message to the VCE class of 2016.

The journey through high school education is a long one – six years from start to finish.

In that time, students develop, change and grow – aided by the family, teachers and friends they surround themselves with.

Here, we take a look at the final 12 months enjoyed by the class of 2016.

LEADERS: School captains for 2016 are Dempsey Parsons and Angus Appleby, and vice captains Michael Shaw and Zoe Reeve.
