Slippery slide over off Circuit Road

Mansfield Courier - - OPINIONS / PEOPLE -

VISITORS travelling to the High Country via the Circuit Road are being warned to steer clear of the road edges.

Continued wet weather, combined with the cooler spring temperatures, have meant the road edges are unusually soft and prone to giving way.

Forest Fire Management Victoria has commenced their annual program of clearing roads and undertaking maintenance works on roads and tracks throughout the forest, but recently a department gravel truck rolled off Circuit Road becoming a victim of the soft edges. No one was injured in the incident. Drivers on forest roads are urged to drive safely according to the conditions and beware of soft road edges.

For more information about road closures and changes of conditions go to www. park or check the Public Access Map at for any prolonged closures.
