Light up your Christmas windows

Mansfield Courier - - OPINIONS / PEOPLE -

CHRISTMAS is fast approaching - just four weeks away until Santa makes his big visit - and it is also time for business owners to get moving on their window displays.

December 1 marks the arrival of Mansfield’s big Christmas tree with the official light up being a part of the Christmas Carols Service to be held on Friday, December 2 in the High Street median strip.

December 2 will also mark the ‘big reveal’ for all shop windows to be unveiled with no particular theme this year - but make it your best.

Over the past three years the Mansfield District Business Association has run a competition for the ‘best dressed window’ for members with public voting on what you the shoppers think.

However, this year judging may be through secret shoppers - so get going, get those Christmas decorations out or make new ones and let’s light up the town and shop windows for this festive season.

UP AND UP: Students got to enjoy a variety of activities during the Jamieson and Merrijig school camp, including rock climbing, games, flying fox and a slip ‘n slide.

ALREADY LIT: The shop window at Loyola Gifts is already lighting the way to this festive season.
