Mansfield Courier - - COURIER OPINIONS/PEOPLE -

AFTER the great success of the free Calving Talk held by Delatite Vet Services at the Bonnie Doon Club Rooms, Delatite vets are once again providing the town’s folk with free knowledge – this time on what to do when your pet is bitten by a snake.

On Monday, December 5 at 1:30pm and 6:30pm the clinic is holding free sessions on snake bites in dogs and cats.

The sessions will cover topics such as:

Do you know what the first signs of snake bite are?

Would you know what to do?

Dr Anna Manning and the team will walk through different scenarios and how best to save your pet.

As it is well known, the cost of veterinary treatment can be considerable so part of the information session is aimed at pet insurance.

“We can’t avoid them from being bitten but we can avoid the costs,” Dr Manning said.

“Getting your pet to the clinic as soon as possible is the best thing any owner can do.”

For free tips, advice and what to look for, get along to the information sessions – it could help save your pet’s life.

The information sessions will be held at the Delatite Veterinary Clinic at 7 Chenery Street.
