Mans­field pri­mary hon­ours refugees with dona­tions

ON Wed­nes­day, June 20, it was Na­tional Refugee Day, which hon­ours the courage, strength and de­ter­mi­na­tion of those who are forced to flee un­der threat of per­se­cu­tion, con­flict and vi­o­lence.

Stu­dents at­tended Mans­field Pri­mary School in free dress, bring­ing a can or packet of non-per­ish­able food by way of do­na­tion.

A ute full of food was de­liv­ered to the Bendigo Bank for distri­bu­tion.

Mans­field Pri­mary School stu­dent Molly Dunn was in­stru­men­tal in get­ting the school in­volved with the cause.

REFUGEES: Stu­dents brought a can or packet of food to school for do­na­tion on June 20, hon­our­ing refugees.
