Thompson who stepped in to a big role of centre and did not disappoint, and to Jacinda-Dixon Riley, who played her first game in B Grade and provided some great mid-court defensive pressure in the second half.

THE 15&U team started with a strong warm up on Saturday morning, eager for the coming game.

Stepping onto the court, we knew we had to give it our all against Echuca.

We started strong with Alicia Rowe, Matisse Gardiner, Meg Mahoney and Kara Dolling in attack, working the ball down to our ring with great efficiency.

Laila Armsden and Tyla Ciarma were light on their feet, contesting the ball in defense with the help of Chloe Rekers in WD.

At the end of the first quarter, we were up by one goal, a proud moment our whole team.

Our second and third quarters were strong and we fought for the ball against the undefeated Echuca Bombers.

We continued to score goals with Lulu Macdonald playing hard for the ball in C.

However, by the end of the third quester, Echuca was just leading.

The fourth quarter we saw Tyla Ciarma move into GK and Lulu Macdonald in GD, light on their feet and attacking the ball with Chloe Rekers.

Our attack end continued t o fight, with Alicia Rowe and Kara Dolling feeding the ball into the ring, assisting Meg Mahoney and Matisse Gardiner to score some amazing goals.

Overall, the U15’s played an exceptional game both as a team and as individual netballers, but the Echuca Bombers won.

A huge thanks to Choices Café Mansfield and Mansfield Pizza for their sponsorship.
