Under 12 cricket up and running
THE last two weeks has seen Mansfield Junior Cricket up and running at the Mansfield Rec Reserve.
2/10 teams battle every Wednesday night, with training at Lords on Monday nights.
Game one saw the Middle Stumpers defeat The Bushrangers 101 to 81.
Henry Berriman 36 and Logan Reid 24 were the top scorers, Harry Craddock with 4/11 and a great catch saw him win the Choices Cafe Award.
Nate Longstaff with 16 top scored for the Bushrangers.
Game two again had the Stumpers on top, led by Logan Reid (17), Ethan Pigdon (7) and Cody Mennen (9), who were the top scorers.
Billy Ploschke, Noah Pigdon and Will Friday were the dual wicket takers.
Ross Engledoe (6) hit his first boundary along with Will Friday (9) and Nate Longstaff (12), who were the top scorers.
Best bowling went to young Josh Taylor with 3/2 which saw him take home the Choices Cafe award for the week.
Henry Berriman was the other dual wicket taker with 2/4.
Final scores had the Stumpers victorious 66 runs to the Bushies 54.
It’s good to see many new keen cricketers having a go and taking wickets and making some runs.
