McLeish offers support for CFA

Mansfield Courier - - Opinions / People -

SINCE Daniel Andrews began his war on our volunteer firefighters, the CFA has lost 3534 operational volunteers, many who served on Black Saturday and have kept Victorians safe every fire season for decades.

Daniel Andrews’ war on volunteers is out of control, jeopardising the safety of Victorians this fire season.

Daniel Andrews continues to protect his union mates to guarantee their support, but at what cost?

The cost of Victorians’ safety. Daniel Andrews should stand up and protect our volunteers – instead, he will remain silent supporting his mate Peter Marshall and his militant union.

The Liberals will always protect those who protect us by enshrining the rights of volunteers in legislation, launching a Royal Commission into Victoria’s fire services and introducing a Presumptive Rights Legislation Bill into parliament in the first sitting week of 2019.

This election I am asking you to support our CFA and the Liberals’ plan to fix the fire services.

With your support, I’ll continue to be a strong voice for our community and our CFA in a Liberal Government.

Cindy McLeish, MLA, Eildon We’ll make sure you’re adequately insured in case of a bushfire
