GOURMET food and wine lovers will be feel­ing fes­tive this Labour Day long week­end, when the an­nual Pic­nic in the Park culi­nary car­ni­val re­turns on March 10.

Held in pic­turesque Mir­im­bah Park, at the base of Mt Buller, vis­i­tors can re­lax by the De­latite River un­der colour­ful au­tumn trees, sam­pling qual­ity lo­cal pro­duce from an ar­ray of stall­hold­ers - in­clud­ing lo­cal winer­ies and gourmet food pro­duc­ers.

There will be all flavours of the High Coun­try there, from fine wines to or­ganic cheese, paella to pizza.

Gates open 12pm-6pm, en­try is only $20 for adults (in­clud­ing sou­venir wine or beer glass and a com­pli­men­tary bev­er­age) with free en­try for kids un­der 18 years of age.

Pre-pur­chase your tick­ets on­line or pay for your ticket at the gate. New for 2019 is a des­ig­nated driver ticket for $15 (no com­pli­men­tary drink voucher).

They are of­fer­ing a com­pli­men­tary re­turn coach ser­vice from Mt Buller to Mir­im­bah Park for guests stay­ing in re­sorts over the week­end.

Mans­field to Mir­im­bah, tick­ets are paid re­turn per head (adult or child), so make sure you re­serve your seat in ad­vance.

ON SOON: The an­nual Pic­nic in the Park will be held at Mir­im­bah this com­ing March 10.
