MANSFIELD’S ‘Buy Local’ campaign gains momentum on Friday, December 6 with the Christmas Twilight Market on High Street shining bright, festive lights on community value and community support to shop locally and buy locally.

A collaboration between Mansfield Shire Council, Mansfield Producers Group, traders from across the shire, High Street businesses, and the Mansfield District Business Association and the Mansfield Courier is ringing the festive season’s bells together with 5pm to 8pm Friday night shopping and a community entertainment extravaganza.

“Support for our local businesses is paramount at every level of the community,” Mayor Harry Westendorp said.

“Our vibrant district continues to grow and healthy businesses are key to greater local investment, local employment opportunity and they play a vital role in maintaining our local economy.”

“We wholeheartedly support the Christmas Twilight Market,” president of Mansfield and District Business Association (MDBA) John Lazarov said.

“The bringing together of community positively brings to light the passion and the spirit we have in supporting local businesses.

“The pride we share for this unique part of Australia ensures that families continue to prosper through keeping employment local and helping our businesses succeed.”

As the campaign runs towards our Community Christmas Carols and the drawing of the $1000 shopping vouchers, the evening shopping event is yet another opportunity for locals and visitors alike to conveniently shop for Christmas, enjoy some fantastic community spirit and a wonderful festive season family based event with a little of something for everyone.
