Seussical shows successful so far
IMAGINE a curtain and what lies behind; the kind of a place you might see in your mind... from the page to the stage, come along and enjoy – this tale of an elephant, a bird and a boy.
Audiences have been wowed by the fun and fabulous tale that is Seussical – bright colours, catchy tunes and plenty of laughter.
Opening to an almost full theatre on November 4, this latest MMuDS performance will have you tapping your toes and singing along.
“I’m so proud of how everyone has pulled together,” says director Karen Pirie.
“After so many months of seeing only snippets of the story during the rehearsals, it is amazing to see it all in one piece. “It will be sad to see it all finish up.” Seussical will be over before you know it, with the last show being performed on Saturday, November 16.
From the Jungle of Nool to the River Waloo, there is something for everyone in this performance.
A dancing and singing cat, a bird who just wants to be noticed, an elephant who champions the smallest person, a sassy bird who shirks her responsibilities, a young boy with a mind that doesn’t stop thinking, a platoon fighting the great Butter Battle and a community of Whos seemingly too small to have any impact on anything at all.
With only three shows left, it’s time to grab the last handful of tickets before it’s too late.
SEUSSICAL: Bec Bolwell stars as Mayzie La Bird alongside Bird Girls Simone Reeder, Jessica Saladin and Bernadette Gifford in MMuDS’ production of Seussical.
