Adam Baker wins state series
EVEN though the MMBCC is no longer a BMX club, Adam Baker has produced some great results lately to take out the Victorian State Series in 40-44 Men’s Cruiser Class.
Adam raced six of the eight rounds all across the state, including those at Warrnambool, Lilydale, Mildura, Bendigo, Park Orchards and Portland.
With five second places and a win under his belt in the final round, it is hopefully enough to wrap up the series with a win.
Congratulations Adam and good luck at the Victorian titles.
run the Mansfield Gymnastics Club. She has a group of volunteer parents who, under her guidance, help run the sessions. There are also parents rostered on each week to help with the set up and pack up of the equipment. Currently there are approximately 40 children participating each week. The junior levels train from 4-5pm learning and practising the basics of gymnastics. This prepares them for the graded levels of WAG. During this time the senior level WAG girls are working on muscle and strength development. After the juniors have left, the WAG girls move on to apparatus training under the watchful eye of Therese. Because Mansfield Gymnastics Club is a set up/pack up club that can’t provide a sprung floor, appropriate vault or bars system, Quinn and Hannah will need to continue at Benalla Gymnastics. They will compete in 2020 at WAG level 6 and both hope that in the near future, Mansfield will have a gymnastics centre that would allow them to train here and represent their home town at state championships. GO GIRLS: Quinn Russell and Hannah Berriman at the 2019 state championships.
CYCLING: Adam Baker doing what he loves most (left) and number one on the dais.
