Two teenagers air­lifted to hospi­tal

PARAMEDICS treated two teenagers in­jured in an ac­ci­dent while on a camp at Howitt Plains in the High Coun­try on Fri­day, Novem­ber 15.

A boy and a girl suf­fered head in­juries when they had a mi­nor fall while form­ing a hu­man pyra­mid dur­ing the pre­vi­ous night.

Wilderness re­sponse paramedics and SES vol­un­teers made their way to the camp site early on the Fri­day morn­ing be­fore call­ing for an air am­bu­lance to take them to Wan­garatta.

The air am­bu­lance was able to land close to the camp­site.

The teenagers were then flown to Wan­garatta air­port and were then taken by road to North­east Health (Wan­garatta Hospi­tal) in a sta­ble con­di­tion.
