Big improvement for under 14 girls

Mansfield Courier - - Courier Sport - By KLARISSA THOMSON

THE girls started with a hard, fast game against Benalla Breakers.

Our defence was suffocating, and this kept the score low but sadly there was no win.

Next up was in Benalla against Euroa.

We lead all game resulting in their first win as a team.

Celebrating with a nice break overnight and they were ready to take on anything.

Both games against Mildura and Deniliquin were fought hard and the end scores certainly didn’t reflect the games.

If we were able to score on each shot the girls would have taken both.

So proud of their efforts.

They all put in 100 per cent each game and watch out next tournament.

This team is taking shape and hungry for more wins.

Thanks to our parent scorers.

We couldn’t do it without your support.

The top scorers over the weekend were Brianna Weight, Tasia Ciarma and Harper Anderson.

We also saw some great defence work from the birthday girl, Zoe Reed, as well as Ava Mahoney, Jade Rau and Annie Thomson.

Well done girls.

A TEAM: The Under 14 blue girls.
