Rifle club gears up for 2020
ON Saturday, December 14, the Wangaratta Rifle Club competed over a range of 300m.
The conditions on the day were sunny with tricky and variable westerly winds and strong mirage.
This troubled many competitors as conditions could change very quickly.
A total of 24 competitors participated, including three visitors which was a good turnout considering the heat and many regulars being away.
In target rifle competitors were competing for a trophy sponsored by Trevor Diffey which was won by John Gullock.
In F Class it was the second stage of a handicap trophy sponsored by George Snowling which was won by Doug George.
Scores from the day were as follows:
Target Rifle - J McDiarmid 98-13 (98.25), G Sewell 98-9, I Sandford 97-6 (98.25), J Gullock 93-6 (100.25) P Diffey 90-3 (94), M Sewell 82-2.
