MADEC rewarded for riders’ 2019 win

SOME 200 horse riders gathered in Tatura in late September 2019 for the Victorian Horse Riding Club’s annual show jumping event, with Mansfield taking out one of the top prizes on the day.

While they had trained hard all year, it was not their dedication to the sport but their performance on the day which has landed the team a nomination for the quarterly Team of the Year award.

There were 49 teams of four riders from HRCAV clubs all over Victoria and NSW competing – and the Mansfield and District Equine Club re-wrote its own history.

In what was the first time in MADEC’s history, its team won a TTT (Top Teams Trophy)

Event – something to be extremely proud of.

“It was pretty amazing,” MADEC secretary and life member Kerryn Gooding told the following the event.

The win has earned the local club the opportunity to host this year’s Victorian Horse Riding Club’s event.

“We are all very excited to have this opportunity,” Gooding said.

Planning for the big event this year will commence shortly.
