Mansfield Courier - - Courier | Opinions/people -

MANSFIELD Music and Dramatic Society (MMuDS) is continuing to gear up for its next major production of ‘The Kastle’, which will be a musical take on the original film.

A contemporary sequel of the much loved film, it will have all the main characters, quotes and story lines of the original, and has been described by the play’s writer/director Will Twycross as a “Bonnie Doon Pub Rock Musical”.

“We had terrific response to our auditions, and actually auditioned 65 people for the show,” Mr Twycross said.

“When you add in a great rock and roll band, and all the lighting, sets, props, makeup, stage, sound, video and lights crews, there will be well over a hundred people involved in bringing this show to the stage for MMuDS.”

The cast and main production team for the show will go on the

MMuDS website later this week, and the first meet and greet before rehearsals start in earnest will be on February 4 at 6 pm.

MMuDS is requesting that all cast and all prospective crew and band members come along to that initial get together to get all the information on how the pieces will all fit together while maintaining maximum levels of serenity and ensuring no-one needs to be told they are dreaming.
