Mansfield Shire mayor Mark Holcombe said the process demonstrated that the community had a clear vision for the future that it was passionate about.

“Working with the community to develop a vision has been an exciting process,” said Cr Holcombe.

“Many people have participated in helping us shape it so far.

“We are grateful to those who have taken the time to tell us their vision for Mansfield Shire’s future.

“The vision will guide council’s future planning and activity.

“Most importantly, it will also provide shared goals for everyone across Mansfield Shire to collectively work towards.”

There are five domains covered in the Community Vision, each providing a clear vision for Mansfield

Shire in 2040, including:

Community and People;

Health and Wellbeing;

Environment and Place; Infrastructure and Services;

Prosperity and Economy.

The council is nearing the final stages of the process of developing our community vision.

Social impact strategists, Spur, have been engaged by council to facilitate the project.

They will consider feedback given at this stage as they finalise the Community Vision, which will be considered by council at its meeting in October.
