Bombers lock in second place

-

In the defensive half, the group worked well together, especially in the second half as they really got on top.

Zac Tanner had a terrific game, displaying his versatility in defence with defensive spoils and marks at crucial times, grabbing himself the Foodworks Coaches Cup in a confidence building performance.

The efforts of Jake Campitelli were a stand out in the back half. Jake’s endeavour at the contest was just great to watch, and it set the tone for the whole team in contested ball. Easily Campitelli’s best game for the season, he nabbed himself the Prez’s Pick award.

With the home and away season behind us, the boys now turn to getting their preparations as good as possible for a run through finals. With Melbourne based players potentially impacting sides, it shapes as a wide open affair, which is a great result for the league in an extremely tough year.

Let’s hope the next four weeks can play out and some crowds even get the chance to come watch.

The club has full confidence that whatever challenges are thrown this team’s way they can handle, and wish the boys all the best in two weeks’ time against Milawa.
