Lights off for the Bogong Moths to help possums
MT Buller and Mt Stirling Resort Management are hosting, along with all other Victorian Alpine Resorts, a webinar next Wednesday evening titled Lights off for the Bogong Moths.
Join the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Resort Management environmental services team on September 15 at 6.30pm.
It will be an online webinar to learn about the importance of Bogong Moths and their role in the conservation of the incredibly cute and endangered Mountain Pygmy Possum population.
Special guest presenter will be Marissa Parrott from Zoos Victoria.
They will also be joining with our neighbouring Alpine Resort Management environmental services teams of Mt Hotham, Falls Creek, Mt Baw Baw and their communities.
There will be an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
Those wishing to attend must register in advance online to receive their unique webinar login link.
On the night they will also be asking as many of you to turn off your lights between 6.30pm and 6.45pm.
They said Lights off for the Moths is about the best and easiest thing you can do to help the Bogong Moths make their way to the Mountain Pygmy Possums which is to turn off all your unnecessary outside lights at the end of winter and into the spring.
