How you can help bring cheer to families

Maroochy Weekly - - NEWS -

WHILE Christmas is a joyful time for many, it can also be a time of great adversity.

The reality is that a number of families across the Coast are struggling financially and the festive season is a reminder of how tough times are.

To help relieve some of this strain and bring some much-needed cheer to families in need, the

Sunshine Coast Daily is launching its Adopt-a-Family appeal with the help of Coast charities.

The appeal encourages people to put together hampers containing non-perishable foods, bon-bons, vouchers and children’s toys so families in need can still enjoy the festive season.

St Vincent de Paul Kawana’s Terry Sharry said by working together with the Daily and fellow charities, they were able to have a wider reach and help as many families as possible.
