ENJOY CAROLS BY SEA
KAWANA Carols by the Beach is back for another year of friendly, family, festive fun.
There will be something for the whole family: face painting, giant snow globe, petting zoo, great food and drinks, live entertainment, singers, local church carollers and dancing laser light show.
What started as a small Kawana nippers event has grown over the years to include not just nippers families but everyone in the region.
The event is a Kawana nippers fundraiser and has been organised by Kawana nippers vice-chair Megan Lovell, chair Sirkka Luke and surf sport director Glenn Carter - the event is sure to make waves.
“It’s not just the nippers families that show up but all the proceeds do go back to the Kawana nippers as well as SSE, the bronze training kids and the Kawana surf club too.
“It’s a time for the community to shine bright,” said Ms Lovell.
Ms Lovell said the team of three have been planning since May but “it feels like we’ve been planning all year.
“I think almost everyone who came last year is coming back, which is good to see.
“And the carols are a big part of the event - a lot of people want that church connection as well,” said the Kawana nippers chair.
“The vibe is just one of the best, it’s really great to see everyone come together.
“It feels like everyone you know is there.
“So many local businesses are supporting the event too, so you’ll go and run into your dentist or someone else you wouldn’t normally.
“It’s just fun and festive,” she said.
