BEST CLUB COACH
IT’S been a busy month for Mooloolaba Tennis Club head coach Adon Kronk, claiming a bevy of coaching awards at both state and national level.
He was recently named the best club coach at the Queensland Tennis Awards, now Adon Kronk has nabbed the country’s highest club coaching accolade.
Last week Kronk won the Coaching Excellence – Club Award at the 2018 Australian Tennis Awards, the highest club coaching honour in the country.
“Winning the Queensland award earlier this month was amazing and it was an honour just to be named in the top three finalists for the country,” he said.
“But to actually win, I couldn’t believe it. It’s such an honour.”
Kronk has been at the helm of the Mooloolaba club for three years, using his global coaching experience to help grow the club, which picked up Queensland Club of the Year.
“For the club to have that success as well, winning the Queensland award and being a finalist in the Australian award, is great and shows how far it’s come in the last few years,” he said.
“We’ve been kicking goals and hopefully we can use this momentum to continue to expand and improve.”
