Speak up about two big killers
RESIDENTS have the opportunity to have their say on the future of two of Australia’s biggest killers – heart disease and stroke.
A survey is now open as part of the National Heart and Stroke Action Plan, a joint project of the Federal Government, Stroke Foundation and Heart Foundation.
The online survey will provide the community with a voice on what is needed to improve stroke and heart disease prevention, treatment, research and support in Australia.
The survey feedback will be vital to the development of a National Heart and Stroke Action Plan.
“We want to hear from people from all walks of life, ranging from those directly touched by these diseases to carers and health professionals,” Stroke Foundation CEO Sharon McGowan said.
The survey should take no more than 15 minutes and is open until December 14.
The Federal Government has provided $170,000 towards the development of the action plan. It is the first of its kind and will help guide resource allocation to life-saving interventions.
