IS THIS THE BEST MOTHERBOARD in the world? We think so. Although the price is a staggering $650, the inclusion of dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, coupled with as many PCIe slots as you could throw a stick at, is nigh on godly. On top of that, it’s beautiful. Crisp, clean, slick lines, silver accents, even the MOSFETs are gold-plated with silver trimmings. Move aside Rampage, there’s a new king in town, and it’s certainly not focused on gaming.

But looks aren’t everything; we want performance, and the X99-E-10G WS is a monster, achieving some of the lowest undervolts we’ve seen with the Core i7-6950X. We knew that passively cooling the entire CPU loop without fans, while overclocking it, was going to be a challenge, but thanks to this mighty mobo, it’s a challenge we easily overcame. Our overclocks aren’t ice-cold, but they’re damn close to what you’d expect from a standard AIO, running at 75 C under load.

And don’t forget the storage support. With a U.2 connector as standard, alongside an M.2 slot, and up to 10 SATA ports, there’s little you couldn’t connect to this beauty.
