DIFFICULT BENDS

-

THE MOST DIFFICULT BENDS were the two leading out of the GPUs. Hardline tubing is a one-hit wonder: You can only bend it once—rebending can cause nasty kinks and bubbles, which you don’t want. On top of that, once you remove the silicon insert from the tubing, you can’t get it back in and around a bend, no matter how hard you try.

Your best bet is to take your time, be patient, measure it as best you can, and try to make sure you don’t have any ridiculous bends, such as a 45° going into another 45° going into a third 45°. Like we did here. Yeah. Don’t do that. It’s always advisable to buy twice as much tubing as you think you’ll need. And, where you can, rely on angled fittings to relieve some of the burden.
