Creating My Own Cloud

-

While trying to install OwnCloud on my Raspberry Pi, I got the following error message: “tar: owncloud9.0.2.tar. bz2: cannot open: No such file or directory.”

Help—anyone else having this problem? I am a newbie with Linux, so it could just be me. – Pete Swentzel EXECUTIVE EDITOR ALAN DEXTER RESPONDS: While we usually suggest that you install packages using apt- get, for this tutorial, we actually just told you to download the main OwnCloud application straight from the website, under the “You’ll need this” heading at the start of the project. It’s worth noting, while we’re here, that OwnCloud has updated to version 9.1.1, so once you have downloaded the file, you will need to unpack the tarball with: $ sudo tar -C /var/www/ html -xf owncloud-9.1.1.tar.bx2

Once you’ve done that, you should be able to continue with the rest of the tutorial without a problem.
