THERE AREN’T MANY CHANGES to our midrange system this month, despite a few shifts in pricing on most of the components. Overall, we’ve managed to shave $46 off the price—although, as ever, if you want to be a bit more aggressive with your budget, there are deals to be had from bundles and daily deals. On the price front, we saw a $10 saving on the case, but that was lost to the PSU, which was $10 more expensive this month. The motherboard saw the greatest saving, rolling in $26 cheaper than last time, which helps our bottom line. The only real change this issue is swapping out last month’s Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce for the Zotac card. Both are triple fan designs, which mean that they run quiet and cool, while packing a serious punch at sub-4K resolutions. This Zotac card is $20 cheaper than the Gigabyte at the moment, which gave it the edge, plus you can pick up a free copy of Gears of War4 if stock is still available.
