$42\ CRUCIAL BALLISTIX SPORT LT 4GB (1X 4GB) DDR4 2400
Here’s that one stick of memory we were talking about earlier. One stick of glorious singlechannel perfection. This 4GB stick should be enough for any light office work, once again. There’s not a lot to it: It’s red, so that’s a plus, as it goes nicely with the motherboard. Not that you’ll see either, because the case doesn’t have a windowed side panel.
However, getting a dual-channel kit at 8GB instead should only set you back $82, and it’s a setup we’d recommend if you plan to do anything more taxing with your system later on. Google Chrome, although better than it once was, is still a memory-killer—with five tabs open and a few extensions, you’ll likely be using 1.8GB or so. Pretty crazy, huh? Combining that with the $50 Gigabyte board we mentioned opposite should net you a system with a far better spec for about the same price.
