$28\ 120GB CRUCIAL BX500 2.5-INCH SSD

-

No traditional hard drives here. No, sir. This time around, we’ve gone for a 120GB budget SSD from Crucial. These new BX500 drives are aimed solely at the entry-level market. Surprisingly, despite the price point, they’re actually fairly impressive on a spec level. With 540MB/s read and 500MB/s write, it’s aggressively competitive, particularly at that price.

It’s worth bearing in mind again, however, that although this drive is enough for your Windows installation and some light program use, if you intend to install any sizable games later down the line, or decide that you’d like to use this machine as a home theater PC, we recommend you pump out for a more substantial old-school HDD— something like a 1TB WD Blue, for example. Better yet, cannibalize one from an older system.
