Your article on “The Ultimate Build Guide,” October 2018, could not have been more timely for me. It’s been 15- plus years since I built my own PC, and I am looking to get back into it with a cheap, but powerful, build. The only thing lacking for me in the guide would be an affordable monitor to go with the new rig. Do you have any recommendations for monitors under the same theme as “most bang for your buck”? Thank you.

DEPUTY EDITOR, ZAK STOREY, RESPONDS: There are plenty of excellent monitors out there right now, and you should be able to find a great value screen whatever size you’re looking for. For those wanting a specific recommendation, though, we’ll point you toward this monitor on Amazon (although, obviously, other outlets are available): www.ama This Full HD 23.8- inch IPS screen from HP currently only costs $110, and is worth grabbing if you don’t need anything bigger or boasting a higher resolution.
